What happens to a call when I am busy on site?
Overflow answering picks up when you cannot, collects the caller's details and the nature of the job, and passes them to you. Urgent cases can be flagged for a call back. Exactly what it says and asks is agreed with you first.
Is this affordable for a sole trader or small firm?
Costs depend on scope, so we do not quote a standard price here. A narrow starting point, such as answering missed calls only, keeps things proportionate. A consultation can help you judge whether the number of calls you miss justifies the investment.
Can it book jobs straight into my diary?
If your calendar or job management tool can be connected, yes. Many businesses prefer to have requests confirmed by a person before they are booked, especially for quotes. Both approaches are possible.
Will customers be put off by talking to an automated system?
Some may be, which is why it is best used for calls you would otherwise miss. A caller who reaches a helpful assistant that takes their details is usually better served than one who reaches voicemail. Handover to you should stay available.
